My wife and I prefer to keep all the components seperated for absolute speed setup so we did use a few extra minis. You could get all 5 players into a single XL if yuo wanted. We play mostly at 2-3 players so keeping all 5 player, and 1 one grey players seperate was perfect. Also, we did not bin the modifier items, but since they have larger discs, they do fit into an XL but a little snug. You would need 2 flats if you wanted to use those. Lastly, the cards are a good thinck quality so leaving them in a bag was fine with me. There is less then 20 cards so I could not justify a renenforced card box (just being honest).
ZERO lid Lift. The player aids, and deck of cards rest securely on top of the bins, and if you arrange it right they fit like a puzzle well to secure them also.
